AKVA group has signed a contract for the delivery of Fishtalk software to Norway Royal Salmon. This includes the software for production control, Fishtalk Control, as well as the biological and economic planning tool, Fishtalk Value Chain Planner (VCP).

"We needed a robust tool for reporting and analysis that is both easy to use, and which meets all our needs," says Torstein Tiller, Executive Vice President for Administration and Chain Operations at Norway Royal Salmon. "Our business is spread all along the Norwegian coast, with independent production companies and processing and value-added businesses. Fishtalk will provide us with a solution that satisfies both the local needs of each individual farmer, while maintaining the central requirements of the group. The possibility for integration simplifies and assures the quality of the data from processing to manufacturing. "

"As the market leader, we need to ensure that our software solutions meet very diverse needs. Fishtalk has a robust tracking system at the bottom, and the market's most flexible and user-friendly reporting system on top. We are therefore able to provide our customers with a solution that is carefully adapted to each farmer's needs," says Sales Manager Kåre Gruven, AKVA group.

In aquaculture in Norway today, easy access to information in all levels of the organisation is key to efficient operations. "Fishtalk builds reports where biology and finance is put together, and thus provides a complete picture of the situation. Our customers want to stay ahead of the development, and this is reflected in the choice of software systems", concludes Kåre Gruven.
