The board of directors at Akva Group ASA has appointed Trond Williksen as the Norwegian company’s new CEO.
Born in 1963, Williksen has wide experience of the fishery and fish farming industries and is currently executive vice-president responsible for the fishing vessels in Aker Seafoods. He holds an MBA in strategy, finance and operational management from the University of Washington, US.
As part of the conditions Williksen has been granted 120,000 share options at a strike price of NOK17 (€2.08/$2.86), this within the existing share option programme.
"The board of directors is very pleased to welcome Trond Williksen as the new CEO of Akva Group. He has good management experience and strong track record from his previous positions forming the basis for managing Akva group in the future,” said Akva chairman Amund Skarholt.
