Royal Greenland vessel Akamalik has reported great fishing using Vónin shrimp trawls.
In only 26 days the vessel caught 600 tons of shrimp at a value of approximately DKK20m.
Akamalik is using Vónin 2014 shrimp trawls, where a large part of the trawl is made from the Dyneema® based Fortis netting. Fortis is specially made for Vónin by Euronete and Vónin describes it as “something of a breakthrough in netting”. Akamalik is also using Injector Sparrow trawl doors.
The skipper of this trip is Linjohn Christiansen, who expressed great satisfaction with the gear.
