Guests from all over the world joined us to celebrate the start of what will be the strongest and most attended Offshore Mariculture to date.
Last night, companies such as BioMar, Skretting, Badinotti, Kampachi Farms and Innovasea were among the attendees at the reception which boasted a fiesta atmosphere with locally sourced food and wine, as well as margaritas made according to a traditional recipe, first created in Ensenada.
Guests enjoyed entertainment in the form of traditional dancing and live music. It was clear that the aquaculture industry in Ensenada is one with great potential as international companies in attendance took advantage of the chance to meet with numerous local producers.
Many of those in attendance spoke of their excitement to hear what the upcoming presentations will reveal about the budding aquaculture industry, here in Ensenada.
The welcome reception will be followed by the first day of conference proceedings and the Gala Dinner which will take place in a historic casino and will serve fish provided by offshore farms in the Ensenada area.
