Aas Mek Verksted has released details of new contracts with Bømlo Brønnbåtservce AS, Norway, for two new live fish carriers.
When the last of these two newbuildings is finished, it will be the 10th newbuild for Bømlo Brønnbåtservice in the last 10-12 years.
The vessels will be equipped with:
• A cleaning and aeration plant and oxygen production for transporting fish in a closed system
• A foam and ozone disinfection plant
• A sorting and fish counting plant
• A system for monitoring and regulating the water quality in the cargo hold
The wellboats will also be equipped with a conditioning system for water in cargo tanks, where water will be continuously conditioned. The system will have the capacity of 1000m3 an hour.
The hull will be built at Aas Mek Verksted's cooperation yard in Riga, Latvia.
