Baja Seas

Baja Seas was founded in January 2012 with the vision to be a global leader in marine culture, respected for its use of Aquaculture Technology, innovation, harmony with the environment and social responsibility. Their aim was to provide Innovation and Hatchery Technology in the full process to give a world class product for their clients.

Their farm is located in Magdalena bay, in Baja, the currents in Magdalena bay are very strong, keeping the fish active and healthy, also providing a natural way of cleaning the ocean floor.

Operating under strict biosecurity controls, Baja Seas’ entire production is underscored by responsible technology. It uses Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) to create a small water footprint by cutting pollution and disease; fish are fed sustainably-sourced protein- and omega-rich meal derived from sardines in a low Fish In-Fish Out (FIFO) ratio; the fish are raised without antibiotics or paraciticides; and semi-automated feeders and feed cameras prevent overfeeding.
