Small-scale Scottish salmon farmer Loch Duart has confirmed it is taking its prized fish to Seafood Expo Asia in Singapore from 4-6 September 2024, giving visitors, buyers and food enthusiasts at the show the opportunity to find out how Loch Duart salmon differs from standard farmed salmon as well as the chance to find out how they can purchase the fish.
Loch Duart’s team can be found in Hall F at Stand A10.
“We’re so proud to be bringing what we believe is the world’s best farmed salmon to Seafood Expo Asia. We know many chefs and restaurants across Asia that are already familiar with Loch Duart Salmon’s unrivalled taste and texture, so it’s fantastic to be able to show even more people why we’re so proud of how we raise our fish,” Loch Duart Sales Director Chris Orr said.
“While we continue to raise this unique breed of salmon in the same way we always have, slowly, with care and with the lowest impact on the environment as possible, we are excited to be growing our capacity to reach even more customers across the world.”
Loch Duart Salmon is 100% Scottish, bred from a lineage which can be traced back to wild fish that still swim in the cold, clear waters of northwest Scotland to this day.
The fish are also fed the bespoke Blue Impact diet. This specially devised feed from BioMar protects the environment and, because of its high marine content, Loch Duart salmon have naturally high omega-3 levels – up to double the levels of standard salmon.
By triple cleaning the fish oil within this feed Loch Duart salmon also contain 67% less dioxins than most farmed salmons’ diets.
