DAY 2 ROUND UP:

- Fish Waste For Profit - ‘Product Utilisation’ session explored and proved that fish byproducts can be used for anything from leather to cod liver oil; rather than being wasted. There is still a way to go, but these pioneers are trailblazing the movement.

- The Icelandic Ocean Cluster - With 10 years of connecting entrepreneurs, businesses and knowledge in the fishing and marine sector, The Icelandic Ocean Cluster covered the key strategies on ‘How to start up a new business and succeed.’

Thor Sigfusson - Founder and Chairman, Iceland Ocean Cluster spoke in regards to the growth of the Icelandic Ocean Cluster, highlighting that a sister cluster is now running in Portland Maine, with a particular focus on lobster. The discussion also highlighted the need for collaboration, with over 70% of Ocean Cluster House already working together to achieve excellence.
