The company's doors are becoming increasingly popular with the Icelandic fleet, according to Rock's managing director Hans Jákup í Liðinni, and Iceland is the company's closest export market, as all of their doors are manufactured at the Rock workshops in the Faroe Islands.

"We have some longstanding customers in Iceland for our doors and it's important for us to be able to meet them at the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition next year," he said. "FISK Seafood's trawler Drangey from Sauðárkrókur uses our Sea Hunter doors and they completed a record trip in May, and it has been noticeable that all of our customers who had new doors delivered last winter and in the spring have done well with them," he said.

"Síldarvinnslan's freezer trawler Blængur also had a new pair of Sea Hunter doors earlier this year and they used these for a record trip on Greenland halibut, followed by another record trip in the Barents Sea when they filled up with cod fillets."

He added that the last few months haven't been easy ones, and although the Faroe Islands have been largely free of Covid-19, the company had a few quiet months as orders slowed down for a few months in the early summer.

"But now things are busy again, and we have plenty todo with orders for Russia, Greenland, and for our home market in the Faroes," he said.
