TECNICAS HIDRAULICAS will be delivering two complete MARCO shipsets including deck machinery, deck cranes, hydraulic pumping systems and controls next year 2005 to Astilleros Murueta and Construcciones Navales Freire for their hulls 245 and 589 respectively. Astilleros Murueta will deliver the new 2,680m3 tuna purse seiner at the end of 2005 to Etxebastar , a company from Bermeo, Spain. Construcciones Navales Freire will deliver the new 2,550m3 tuna purse seiner at the end of 2005 to Petusa, a Spanish company from Barbate.
During the years 2003 and 2004 TECNICAS HIDRAULICAS has delivered 6 complete shipsets for new 2000-3000m3 Tuna Purse Seiners, and more than 10 retrofits including the main purse seine winch for Tuna Purse Seiners in Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Korea, Taiwan and Spain.
TECNICAS HIDRAULICAS works closely with all the shipyards involved in new tuna purse seiners construction or retrofitting.
The company, as a licensee of MARCO, has manufactured the MARCO tuna machinery product line for 35 years, with exclusive marketing rights in the European common market. In the year 2002 TECNICAS HIDRAULICAS bought MARCO tuna machinery product line and a widely expanded and larger size range of tuna purse seine winches and systems will be introduced into the Americas and the Western Pacific.
TECNICAS HIDRAULICAS is producing MARCO tuna purse seine fishing machinery systems for the latest generation of super tuna seiners, with vessel sizes up to 117 meters in length overall and fish hold capacities up to 3200m3 and fishing tuna purse seine nets that weigh up to 100 metric tons.
