Le Saint-Andre, a 56m freezer longliner from Piriou, delivered to La Reunion company Peche Avenir left Concarneau in July and reached La Reunion at the end of August.
Built to fish for toothfish in waters around Kerguelen, in the Southern Ocean, the vessel has diesel-electric propulsion to optimise fuel consumption.
Five longliners have already been built for La Reunion operators by Piriou since 2000.
