Kiliç Deniz has become the Aegean Exporters Union''s biggest aquaculture and animal products exporter.

The Turkey-based bream and bass producer, which exported US$160m worth of aquaculture and animal products in 2017, has also broken its own record
Sinan Kızıltan, deputy chief executive officer of Kılıç Deniz, said: “In Kılıç Deniz, we have realized an exportation of 160 million dollars in 2017, aiming to contribute to Turkish economy and thus we have broken our previous record of 142 million dollars.
"We are extremely happy and proud to be the leader of our own category in exportation. We offered the most delicious fish of the Mediterranean Sea to 60 countries with the label of a Turkish brand. Notably, Europe has become one of our biggest markets of activity."
Kılıç Deniz exports 70% of its production to 60 different countries, mainly the US and Russia.
Mr Kızıltan said: “With the seed fish that we exported to the Dominican Republic last August, we sent 1.2 million live fish to United States; another important market following Europe. This is a first and a very important success for both our country and for Kılıç Deniz.
The company plans to continue growing through investment in production resources and increasing output.
