John Deere Power Systems has partnered with Melbourne-headquartered Power Equipment Pty Ltd in a move which will see the latter distribute the former’s engines in all markets.

The new partnership means that John Deere customers will not only be serviced by Power Equipment in Australia and New Zealand, but also in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Island, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands and French Polynesia.

JeanMichel Grimault, account manager for Asia-Pacific at John Deere Power Systems, said: “We’re pleased to expand our distributor footprint in the South Pacific with the addition of Power Equipment, which will improve our geographical coverage in the region. John Deere is committed to its customers around the globe, and we believe this new partnership with Power Equipment will strengthen that commitment. With Power Equipment’s strategic locations throughout the South Pacific, John Deere will be able to better support its customers in that region.”

Distribution markets include industrial, agricultural, marine, mining, power generation and engine spare parts.

Power Equipment distributes approximately 6,000 marine and industrial diesel engines each year.
