Heinz Klostermann of Baader says fish farming will play an important part in the future of the industry

"Fish farming is seen as one of the futures of commercial fishing. Quota regulations and unpredictable environmental influences on the fish stocks will make it more and more difficult to earn money with traditional fishing.
For many years BAADER has researched, developed and produced machines specially dedicated to farmed fish. The best example is the BAADER 142 gutting machine for salmon. Over the time, as the salmon industry needed additional and/or different types of heading, gutting, filleting , guts processing and fish meat separation the corresponding equipment and complete systems has been developed and implemented.
Further machines are developed for farmed fish species like Tilapia (BAADER 580), which especially handles the difficult bone structure of this fish type. Within the catfish industry BAADER has developed and implemented complete lines , including heading, filleting, skinning, trimming up to final packaging.(BAADER PRO-FIT-System).
Cod, hake and flatfish are other species where there will be more farmed fish in the future. Due to the broad range of different fish processing machines and the long-lasting experience and know-how there will be a very short time to adopt machines to farmed fish and their needs for high yield, hygienic processing, high quality products and productive processing systems."
