Shipyard owners are showing interest in Pronomar’s professional drying systems.
Up to now, the systems have been popular with crews working on board vessels and the company is seeking to expand into newbuilding and repair yards.
Repairs and refits typically take place during the winter months when ships are temporarily out of operation. Much of the work such as rebuilding the external layout, hull extensions, engine changing and accommodation upgrades is carried out in challenging conditions and the drying systems can help keep the crew warm and dry.
The systems have different types of open configurations, drying cabinets and containerised solutions, which enables the yards to place the systems where and how it suits them best.
