Over the four-day conference attendees will examine the prospects for and practical solutions to issues around farming offshore in Mexico, with the main focus on the production of Abalone, Mussels and the offshore farming of marine fin fish.

Furthermore information about innovative feed solutions and alternatives, opportunities for financing aquaculture projects, the logistics of setting up offshore and how to meet increasing demands for sustainability in today’s society will also be shared.

The conference will be chaired by Dr. Pablo Arenas Fuentes, Director General of the Mexican National Institute for fisheries, INAPESCA, and will include two and half days of high calibre Mexican and International speakers, with a further one and a half days of technical visits to offshore farms and hatcheries.
