At SPE Ishida will launch its brand new IX-GA range of X-ray inspection systems. Also on display will be an integrated mini packing line for fresh fish and seafood.
The new IX-GA X-ray inspection system can detect foreign bodies – including steel, aluminium, tin, glass, stones, hard rubber, plastic, bones and shells – in a variety of fish and seafood products (both packed and unpacked). The machine can detect contaminations down to 0.3mm in size and can also spot missing items or damaged products. In addition, the place of contamination can be accurately pinpointed.
The IX-GA range has come out top at a recent evaluation of six leading X-ray inspection system suppliers, carried out by a major, independent European research institute.
The mini convenience line for fresh ready meals features Ishida’s pioneering Fresh Food Weigher, specifically designed to handle fresh, sticky products easily and accurately. A tray denester provides fast and reliable presentation of the trays under a dipping funnel filling system. To minimise waste, an integrated DACS checkweigher carries out a final weight check before the tray passes through an Ishida QX-775 tray sealer with Windows XP© colour touch screen.
