It has been a busy year for Spanish marine and industrial refrigeration equipment specialist Tucal with orders aplenty from the fishing and seafood industries.
A Tucal spokesman told WF the company is presently involved in the following projects:
- Construction of a series of 10 vertical plate freezers Russian standard (with horizontal vertical dividers) for a Lithuanian shipowner;
- Supply and installation of a turnkey refrigeration installation with IQF plate freezer for the freezing of trout in Asturias (Spain);
- Supply and installation of a compact horizontal plate freezer with capacity for 12 tonnes of cephalopods per day in Mauritania; and
- Construction of horizontal plate freezers for a number of shipowners in Spain and South America.
Tucal has also delivered a number of turnkey refrigeration and air conditioning installations onboard fishing vessels.
It is at present working in the construction of vessels C-1666 and C-1667 at HJ Barreras Shipyard in Vigo, Spain.
Founded in 1989, Tucal designs, builds and installs refrigeration equipment mainly for food processors and shipbuilding industries all around the world, also offering customers the possibility of supplying turnkey refrigeration installations, installed onsite by their own technicians.
