Norwegian fishing company Strand Fiskelsrap has taken the delivery of a 69.9m state-of-the-art stern freezer trawler, built at Tersan Shipyard in Turkey.
Described by the shipyard as “built fit for purpose, excellent trawling manoeuvrability, fuel saving with floating frequency philosophy”, Havbryn is a significant stern factory trawler. The vessel is equipped with a selective catalyst reduction system on the exhaust line to reduce emissions and achieve IMO Tier III certification.
An advanced fish processing plant and a fishmeal plant are installed on Havbryn at the heart of the vessel, along with the new modern hydraulic driven trawl winches.

Havbryn is the first of five trawlers that are under construction at Tersan Shipyard for different Norwegian ship owners.
