Turkey’s Tersan Shipyard has confirmed the launch of Arctic factory freezer trawler NB1107, which has been built for Denmark-based Ocean Prawns A/S.

Atlantic Enterprise will have a shrimp plant and a turbot production factory on board

To be named Atlantic Enterprise, the 82.3-metre-long and 18-metre-wide vessel will be an advanced, technologically- sophisticated factory trawler, capable of triple trawling. 

It is planned that Atlantic Enterprise will have a shrimp plant and a turbot production factory on board. The vessel will also have 1,200-tonne capacity fish room. 

Equipped with 7350 kW Wärtsilä main engine, Atlantic Enterprise will be able to cruise at a speed of 16 knots. It will house a 2,950-cubic-metre freezer hold for processed fish and a 200-cubic-metre packing hold. 

The Skipsteknisk-designed vessel will have accommodation for 35 people on board with spacious and comfortable living places.

NB1107 will be the first project that Tersan delivers to Denmark.
