With just over a month to go until the 7th Offshore Mariculture conference takes place in Baja California, Mexico; it’s time to secure your place for the four-day conference.

Taking place at the State Centre of the Arts in Ensenada, from the 6-10 of March and held in conjunction with INAPESCA, CONAPESCA and SEPESCA, this is the first time the conference will be held outside of Europe. Subjects will include the latest technology, investment and financing opportunities together with the day to day practicalities of running an offshore business.
What to expect:
The Offshore Mariculture Conference Mexico will examine the prospects for and practical solutions to issues around farming offshore in Mexico, and will focus on the production of Abalone, Mussels and the offshore farming of marine fin fish. It will also provide information about innovative feed solutions and alternatives, opportunities for financing aquaculture projects, the logistics of setting up offshore and how to meet increasing demands for sustainability in today’s society.
The conference will kick off with a cocktail reception at the Riviera Cultural Centre on the evening of 6th March. The conference will also host a Gala Dinner on the 7th, with lunches and coffee breaks throughout the presentations providing further opportunities for networking.
The conference will be chaired by Dr. Pablo Arenas Fuentes, Director General of the Mexican National Institute for fisheries, INAPESCA, and will include two and half days of high calibre Mexican and International speakers, with a further one and a half days of technical visits to offshore farms and hatcheries.
