RFC’s new trawler arrives in Vladivostok

During the delivery trip from Turkey, a series of trials were carried out on board Vladimir Limanov to evaluate its performance under real operating conditions. Russian and Japanese food companies have already commented favourably on the first batches of high-quality products.

Vladimir Limanov is now ready for full operation.

Two of the crew were evacuated from the new trawler on 19th August with suspected viral pneumonia and taken to hospital ashore, where it was confirmed that they were suffering from Covid-19.

On arrival Vladivostok, all the necessary measures have been taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus in accordance with the instructions of supervisory authorities, with equipment, products, utility and work spaces all disinfected and the crew required to undergo a two-week quarantine period.

Once customs procedures and the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping survey have bene completed, Vladimir Limanov will depart for its first regular trip.

Vladimir Limanov will be presented during the Eastern Economic Forum, 2nd-4th September. The Russian Fishery Company has a further ten such fishing vessels at varying stages of construction at the Admiralty Shipyards in St. Petersburg.
