According to Stette, it''s defrosting systems have an unique position in the market because of the combination between technology, price and customer fitted solutions. The result is a defrosting process where the quality of the seafood stays the same before and after defrosting.
At SPE, Stette will display its smallest model, the DF12-LB. This is a fully automatic machine, with a PLC system controlling the temperature in the tank. The defrosting parameters are easily programmed on the touch screen and it is possible to create and store 20 different defrosting programs. The defrosting software has been developed over many years and the same software is used in all Stette systems.
The system is based on hygienic design and all parts of the system are easy to wash, either between each batch or on a daily basis.
Loading and emptying is easy with the lifting bottom. The tank is filled with products with the bottom in the lower position, and emptied by lifting the inner bottom until the product flows over the top edge. The water in the tank remains and can, in some cases, be used for the next batch of product.
The latest system has integrated heat exchangers to transfer energy from the energy supply to the defrosting tank. The system can be heated by warm water or steam, and the cold in the product will keep the temperature low. Controlled defrosting can give up to 5% better yield.
