UltiSat has announced the latest edition to the range of maritime VSAT antennas from ORBIT - the Ocean TRx™ 4 1.15 m antenna.
Ocean TRx 4 is a platform supporting a variety of 1.15m stabilised maritime antenna system configurations in X, Ku and Ka band. As a common platform, it is designed to accommodate the current and future needs of the maritime market. The Ocean TRx™ 4 is said to feature outstanding RF performance, system availability and dynamic response under virtually any sea conditions.
The system is an optimal solution for the broadband communications needs of many maritime platforms such as commercial fishing vessels, frigates, container ships, and other vessels.
The 500 series from ORBIT features built-in Ka fully compatible design to ensure smooth migration to future high-speed Ka services – for the entire Ka range – using not only GEO but also MEO satellites. Ocean TRx™ 4-500 provides multi-band frequency support for Ku, Ka and X band, based on field exchangeable kits; the development roadmap also includes an upgrade to provide fully electronic switching between bands.
