Exos will launch its 300 model pinbone remover at SPE

The company says that this pinbone remover takes a completely new approach to pinbone removal in difficult species. Using patented technology the machine can apply a higher pulling force, while at the same time is gentler to the bones by not bending them. This makes it possible to remove pinbones from mackerel, seabream and seabass, which has been difficult with previous pinboners.

Covering all processing situations, Exos offers the 300 model in four different versions:

  • Exos-300R – for right-hand use (20mm gripping width)
  • Exos-300L – for left-hand use (20mm gripping width)
  • Exos-310R – for right-hand use (10mm gripping width)
  • Exos-310L – for left-hand use (10mm gripping width)

The new series of pinboners feature adjustable speed for optimal efficiency, and the powerful, brushless motor does not require maintenance.

The pinboners are made from food grade material, have a built in water cleaning system, and cleaning is made easier as no tools are required for disassembly.

The ergonomic handle makes it comfortable to operate and the head can be changed from 20mm to 10mm in seconds.

The EXOS-300 model is suitable for: char, chinook, coho, great silver smelt, haddock, hake, perch, pike perch, rainbow trout, saithe, salmon, sea trout, mackerel, seabream, seabass, herring and sockeye salmon.
