1479 is the earliest documented reference of Pewag’s first forging plant in Brueckl, Austria. In the 500-plus years that have followed, the group has grown to become one of the world’s leading chain manufacturers worldwide, with its success based on the supply of well-engineered, state-of-the-art products.

Through modern chain production facilities across Europe, Pewag’s product portfolio includes many sector-leading snow chains, forestry chains, hoist and conveyor chains, do-it-yourself products, engineering, lifting and lashing chains and accessories, and tyre-protection chains. The company is also very well-known and highly regarded in France’s fishing industry for the high resistance chains it has produced for the country’s trawler fleet, as well as the galvanised chains it has developed for the tuna catching sector.

Today, its solutions also extend into the aquaculture space, with solutions that meet the unique demands of aquatic food production.

As visitors to IceFish 2024 will find (stand SBZ10), Pewag’s specialised chains for fishing and aquaculture are designed to withstand the harshest marine environments, whilst providing durability and reliability.

The company explained that to deliver all these high-quality solutions, it embraces “an entrepreneurial spirit fuelled by innovation.” It added: “The high quality of our brands, products and services, along with the passionate performance of our employees, drives our excellence and ensures that we remain a trusted partner for our customers.”
