Dybvad Stål Industri (DSI) has installed another fully automated Motoman welding robot, which is one of the largest aluminum welding robots in Denmark.
DSI says that it will enable the company to manufacture horizontal freezers double the size of its usual freezers – opening up for new customers and markets, and enabling current customers to upsize too. Fully installed the welding robot system will be 14m long.
The demand for bigger freezers is the reason that the company has upsized its renowned high quality single station horizontal freezer to almost double the size - with plates as large as 8.25m2 using 2.5 x 3.3m aluminium plates. The single station H-freezer will be able to freeze up to 70 tons of food products in just 20 hours.
The Motoman welding robot system will help the company to be more competitive in manufacturing horizontal freezers and in the end help its customers be the same when processing food, says DSI. According to DSI, combining the single station horizontal freezer with Erlinor’s automatic loading and unloading system will result in a state of the art freezing system.
