Marel Food Systems introduced a variety of new equipment and software systems for onboard and onshore fish processing at this year‘s Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition.

The company has grown substantially since the last Icefish exhibition in 2005 and now offers products from some of the most respected brands in the food processing industry, including AEW Delford, Carnitech, Dantech, Marel and Scanvaegt.
Marel Food Systems also took advantage of the exhibition to highlight its sales and service team. Customers were provided with advice on how service and maintenance contracts can help to minimise downtime, maximise the output and extend the lifetime of their equipment.
The spotlight was cast on Innova during the exhibition, the revolutionary new software package from Marel Food Systems designed for intelligent production and quality control. Innova takes production management to a new level. It covers the complete value chain in the production cycle, from reception of supplies to product dispatch, providing all key performance indicators (KPI) for each stage and traceability from door to door.
The equipment on display at the exhibition included Marel Food Systems' new generation ProLine graders, which offer a versatile suite of standardised, modular options that make choosing an economical grader-package easier than ever before.
Also on display were:
• The AEW Delford WPL 8100 Weigh Price Labeller, which is designed with one purpose in mind – to increase the efficiency food processing and packaging operations
• The ever popular and supremely precise IPM3 intelligent portioning machine
• The Target Batcher, the unique weighing machine that can combine a predetermined number of pre-cut pieces into a package of an exact weight
In addition, Eltak, the sales and service agent for Marel in Iceland, displayed scales and standardised Marel products in its booth.
