Marel will be introducing innovative new concepts at this year''s Seafood Processing Europe Exhibition. For the salmon industry, Marel will be showing the ITM, Intelligent Trimming Machine, and the Salmon Packing Grader. Also presented will be the Speed Batching system for whitefish, pelagic fish, and shellfish and a new QA system QVision for quality assessment measurements.

The OptiPack Lite packing software, a simple and easy to use marine packing solution will be also on display.

The new ITM, Intelligent Trimming Machine uses laser 3D vision to calculate and control the optimal automatic trimming of salmon fillets. The machine is able to take over manual trimming with constant yield, throughput and stability.

The Salmon Packing Grader is Marel's new generation of packing graders for salmon. The grader's capacity is double that of the older version and utilises a static method that is very accurate. The Speed Batcher uses an intelligent patented method, which first divides the incoming flow of raw material into smaller portions and then mixes them again to create the desired package weight. QVision delivers accurate, automatic feature measurement and data collection for QA reporting. Utilising dynamic weighing and laser vision to measure product features automatically the system is more effective than manual sampling. Designed to meet requirements for a powerful and low cost packing system for fish, the OptiPack Lite Packing Solution works with any number of Marel M1100 and M2000 packing scales and various label printers.

Other equipment at the show includes the CheckBin grader for fish, the Basic Trimming line, the new Compact Grader XL, the Precision Grader, the new IPM X400 Portioning machine and Marel's Sensor X Bone Analysis X-Ray System.
