Box pallet manufacturer, Dolav, has unveiled a new fish box designed to provide better value for customers.
The Ace 460 holds 445 litres or 1200kg of catch and when empty and weighs just 33.40kg. Being lighter than insulated tubs, the Ace 460 has a better payload to weight ratio, making manual handling easier and chills faster. It has optional drainage ports and hoist-grips and three integral runners for safe forklift tipping. An Ace 460 lid is available to suit both chain hoisting and forklift handling.
With a footprint of 1200mm by 1000mm and height of 580mm, the Ace 460 interstacks with the standard Dolav Ace. Options are one or two built-in, two-inch drainage ports, two or three integrally moulded-in runners and solid or perforated sides and base and built-in hoist grips. Dolav ‘Smart Solution’ options include a moulded-in RFID label, an antimicrobial additive and logo ID choices of embossing or hot stamping.
In chilled logistic chains, the single-sided injection moulded Ace 460 box enables more efficient cooling of the fish than in insulated tubs. This single-walled box also offers greater hygiene as it does not have inter-wall insulation, which can be a site for contamination.
