The main focus at the Marel stand at DanFish this year is the Innova MarinePack – a purpose-built onboard registration and packing solution for any fishing vessel that needs to comply with EU fishing control and traceability regulations.

Accurate weighing and packing onboard increases yield, maintains peak quality, and minimises handling. With Innova MarinePack vessels can land products that are graded, boxed, labelled, and ready for delivery.

The system supports up to five packing stations and comprises (as a minimum) a scale, an indicator (M2200), a printer and a specifically designed Innova MarinePack software module.

Innova MarinePack is a hardware and software system for registering information on all fish species and grades, harbour, fishing gear and other information relevant for either a report or label.

The M2200 software offers personnel below deck a grading option by indicating which grade is placed on the scale. It is possible to delete a box that has been recorded and end a haul so the captain can see that a job has been finished. The M2200 controls the printer and keeps track of repacking incomplete boxes and labelling leftover fish.

Innova MarinePack reports provide an overview of everything from catch value and packing history to cargo and e-log reports.

At the exhibition, Marel will also present stand-alone marine scales which offer flexible weighing and packing with motion compensation, designed for use on board fishing vessels and factory trawlers.
