Mr. Astiazarán has been studying the aquaculture industry’s growth potential in Mexico, and with his team of scientists developed Baja Seas & Ocean Baja Labs in 2012, companies pioneering in marine finfish farming in México and North America. He has spent 23 years as the CEO of the largest multimedia group in Northwest Mexico and Southwest California, with 18 radio stations, a television channel in the State of Baja California and 12 news & entertainment internet portals. He spent 9 years as a software developer and IT consultant at international firms, such as Touche Ross and KPMG Peat Marwick in Mexico City, Los Angeles & Tijuana, where he participated as advisor in several projects for international companies in manufacturing, communications and financial industries. He is an Honorary Consul for the Republic of Finland in the States of Baja California, Baja California Sur & Sonora. He is a Business Advisor Board member of “Iniciativa México”, a board member and holds several positions in the National Broadcasters Association of MexicoBoard, member of Tijuana Innovadora. Mr. Astiazarán holds a Bachelors of Engineering in Computational Systems from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Superior Education (ITESM, Tec de Monterrey). He is a board Member for Uniradio Multimedia group and a member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Baja Seas, Ocean Baja Labs.
