Early detection of environmental stress and bacteria the AI way

George D Mantas will highlight AquaBioTech Group’s global contribution.

AI and technology are making rapid inroads within aquaculture, and George D Mantas, AquaBioTech Group’s Business Development Director, will be one of those making a valuable contribution at IceFish 2026’s Aquaculture Conference later this month. 

In the session Quickfire AI and Emerging Technology, Mantas will highlight the company’s AI-based tool for the early detection of environmental stress and the presence of the harmful Vibrio anguillarum bacteria in farmed European seabass. 

With a business background and over 20 years’ experience across the seafood supply chain, Mantas has collaborated with partners and clients in promoting sustainable aquaculture across the world, including the World Bank, the European Commission, NGOs, development agencies, investment funds, the private sector, and government Institutes.
