The new hook resists rust better than traditional carbon steel hooks on the market, Dimon managing director Arnor Stefansson says and they are a hit with skippers in Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Norway. “For the time being demand is very high”, Stefansson said.
Steely Vikings hooked on million a month
Dimon is producing a million a month of its new stainless steel hooks and this will rise to three million a month with backing from its Indian factory which opened last November and has 60 staff.
