The PI44 catch monitoring system was launched at Fishing 2005 and has
already received three orders each with a range of different sensors. The
system builds on the highly regarded PI32 catch monitoring system by
offering increased number of sensor inputs, larger screens and upgraded
operation.
Simrad Ltd also received orders for several ES60 professional echosounders
during the exhibition. Some were taken as standalone systems whilst others
where taken in combination with the Olex 3D mapping system. As the UK
distributor for Olex, Simrad Ltd was keen to push this advanced system at
Fishing 2005, and took 10 orders, some as leasing packages.
As ever, Simrad’s navigation equipment, including NavStation and its range
of autopilots were very popular with many orders taken in Glasgow.
Additionally, Simrad’s range of DSC VHF radios proved popular with
skippers, with Simrad Ltd reporting good turnover in this sector.
„The first two days of the exhibition were great and we had a busy stand
morning and afternoon, resulting in good orders especially for smaller
vessels,‰ comments Jeremy Harrison, Director, Simrad Ltd. „Saturday was
slightly disappointing but then we expected it to be quiet, after all, it
was FA Cup day!‰
