Work is already underway to develop the offshore pen “which will support a move towards higher energy sites as the industry seeks to unlock Scottish aquaculture’s huge growth potential,” said Gael Force Group. Last month the company completed its acquisition of a majority stake in Fusion Marine, while earlier this year it embarked on a £1m investment programme to increase capacity and develop new value-added products and services for aquaculture producers
Cabinet Secretary for the Rural Economy and Connectivity in Scotland, Fergus Ewing MSP, commented: “I welcome this investment by Gael Force. Fusion Marine will retain its business name until the end of the year.
