Fiskvelar has introduced its new F-308 Grader, designed to grade products by weight according to predifined format that can be controlled in various ways.
A company statement said "The design is very innovative in the way product that has been weighed is delivered to the desired place or gate.
Instead of arriving on a conveyor belt with separating or fetching arms, the conveyor is divided into parts that open for each batch or part". It is designed to grade products by weight, according to predefined formats and this means they can be controlled in various ways. For example, products can be graded with much smoother handling than before. When they reach the desired place or grade, the next part of the conveyor belt lifts up and the part is delivered smoothly to the next stage.
They can also be transferred at subsequent stages by conveyor belt, slopes or batching.
Fiskvelar says that with less customers in Iceland than five years ago they are focusing on the global market.
"I also see a lot of developments in the processing machinery in the future, with machines allowing more yield and better quality," says Jorgen Wolfram, marketing manager of Fiskvelar.
