Erik Vis holds a Master of Science degree in Aquaculture from Wageningen, the Netherlands. He has successfully started up two sea cage fish farms in Japan and Singapore. Mr Vis has managerial and hands-on work experience with sea-cage farming with yellowtail (Seriola Quinqueradiata), barramundi (Lates Calcarifer) and cobia (Rachycentron Canadum), as well as experience in offshore mariculture with a 100% submerged farm.
He has extensive experience in managing and supervising staff from different cultures and backgrounds and previous positions have enhanced his abilities in strategic planning and making yearly budgets. While at Open Blue Mr Vis has been involved with the development of standard operating procedures of the farm and nursery.
