Marel’s new Flowscale is a self-contained belt weigher designed for high-volume weighing of pelagic species, whitefish and salmon.
The Flowscale gently weighs up to an impressive 100 tons of product per hour in a continuous flow, and has received EU, OIML and US NTEP certification.
Marel’s compact, durable high-capacity Flowscale was specifically innovated to maintain source quality by handling delicate products softly and gently. It replaces older versions, as well as traditional, less product-friendly methods of weighing that, by their very nature, diminish product quality, for example hopper-scale weighing.
This Flowscale operates similarly to a water or electricity meter: it continuously accumulates the weight of a product moving across it, all the while displaying this data on a sealed, M2200 terminal, and then registers the final weight for each lot. It is ideal for measuring the total catch of fish coming from a fishing vessel into a processing factory, as well as for measuring the total amount of food material in and out of a specific process.
