Following the closure of Polar Engineering EJ Bowman have bought the majority of Polar Engineering''s pattern equipment together with the manufacturing rights.
Bowman will therefore be adding some of Polar's designs to their product range. However in the case where Bowman and Polar have made equipment for the same engine type, Bowman will only offer their own units.
Bowman is a long standing manufacturer of heat exchangers, manifolds and oil coolers for the marine industry. There are standard ranges which can be used with any engine type and a variety of units that are engine specific. The addition of the Polar units to the Bowman product range will increase the number of engine specific units that the company is able to offer.
A statement from Bowman says that the company is looking to hear from Polar customers to establish what requirements they will have for equipment they have previously bought from Polar.
The Polar equipment will also enable Bowman to add some more products to the range of cooling equipment used on marine engines. However in addition to producing equipment for marine engines Bowman also produce oil coolers for deck machinery, bowthrusters and power steering systems. The statement also says that Bowman is able to supply the majority of cooling needs for the marine industry.
