Billingsgate goes Royal for Ocean fund-raiser
Britains Prince Charles led a number of restaurateurs and artists on 4 March at the Sea into the Future Gala to cook, to eat seafood and raise £250,000 to fund the Marine Stewardship Councils efforts to save the wild fish of the Pacific Ocean.
The canny organisers have also linked up with retailer Marks & Spencer. The supermarket will later sell playing-card size copies of 54 works of art produced by artists for auction during the Gala which was held in ‘old’ Billingsgate in London.
