Berg introduces new ice-making machine
Berg Chilling Systems, Toronto, Canada, has introduced a new ice-making machine (right), called the Ice/Berg LS, which is modular, allowing inexpensive expansion as the users needs grow.
This modularity results from the unique arrangement of the four main components of the Ice/Berg LS: ice making on the low side; refrigeration on the high side; the condenser; a new SC5 controller. By simply adding ice-making modules (in 5-ton increments), the user can increase production while using the same controller. As a money-saving option, the installer can use a local source for the refrigeration unit. If not available locally, additional refrigeration units can be ordered from Berg.
Front discharge allows for compact space installation. An optional conveyor is available when multiple modules are operated.
