Germany’s food processing machinery specialist, The Baader Group, has purchased 100% shares of Norway’s Trio Food Processing Machinery AS.

The aim behind the move is to optimise the products between the two groups and develop Trio’s latest machine for pre-rigor pin boning which makes it possible to skin and bone salmon fillet to a higher quality with a better shelf life.
Petra Baader, shareholder of the Baader Group, said: “Baader and Trio complement one another effectively with regard to the global presence in the market, the process technology, the developing experience and the customer support.”
She added: “Trio (has been) a respected international provider of machines for the fish industry and we are looking forward to market the products of a high development standard using the well established Baader network. We are looking forward to the cooperation.”
Trio Food Processing Machinery was founded more than 100 years ago to supply machines to the growing canning industry in Norway – the company is well known for building machines for skinning of whitefish and salmon.
The purchase contract was signed at the end of October in Stavanger by André Akse, managing director of Baader Norge AS, in the presence of Honorary Consul Petra Baader CEO of the Baader Group, and Trio Food Processing Machinery AS owners, Oddmund Haugland, Erik Joa and Per S Hodne.
