Air Products has launched the Freshline IQF+ (Individually Quick Frozen Plus) freezer – designed to support food manufacturers in attaining larger production volumes, while maintaining high quality standards.
Air Products’ IQF freezer range already proposed several offerings for even the smallest product types, but the company says that the Freshline IQF+ tunnel freezer now offers the possibility to produce high throughputs of quality IQF products while keeping costs at a minimum. The freezer can individually quick freeze or crust almost any product with no compromise on hygiene, safety or quality.
Compact, easy to install, start up and operate, the Freshline IQF+ tunnel freezer offers a solution to processing volumes from 1.5 tonnes of product per hour upwards, which was often the maximum for standard high quality IQF spray freezing tunnels. The freezer front section is set up to create successive soft tumbling of the product, avoiding products from sticking to each other for an optimal IQF result, while the almost instant cryogenic freeze locks in the essential sensorial properties of the product.
The cryogenic tunnel also offers impressive efficiency, reducing effectively nitrogen consumption.
Thanks to a unique cold transfer system specially developed by Air Products’ R&D experts, we are able to ensure optimal performance of the liquid nitrogen that is used as a cooling agent,” says Air Products. “This, in turn, provides an ultra-fast freezing process and higher quality results while keeping operational costs lower than other cryogenic tunnel or immersion freezers on the market.”
