ADVANCED FREEZERS from The Netherlands has designed a new spiral freezer concept with an integrated refrigeration system.

ADVANCED has designed a spiral freezer concept with an integrated refrigeration system

The OPTI FREEZE™ ‘ALL IN ONE’ concept is based on 'plug and play' convenience, where the refrigeration unit is integrated within the enclosure from the ADVANCED Spiral Freezer. With just one connection from the OPTI FREEZE™ ‘ALL IN ONE’ unit to the condenser, the system is ready to operate.

With this new concept ADVANCED says that users do no need to worry about integration or multiple vendors, as the company provides a complete turnkey system, including special in-feed and out-feed material handling conveyors, controlled via ADVANCED software.

ADVANCED individually designs and custom builds spiral systems to meet current, and future, production requirements. Each dimension can be adjusted to meet the plant’s production and space specifications, which results in the most efficient utility design. In-feed and discharge position is custom configured to match the plant layout.

ADVANCED claims that its systems can freeze or chill any kind of trays or packaging. Applications include seafood, cheese, ice cream, red meat, poultry, pork, snacks and ready meals.

With proper preventive maintenance, ADVANCED says that OPTI FREEZE™ spiral systems offer 100% reliability, due to the design that practically eliminates moving parts, provides corrosion protection, uses robust stainless steel construction, and offers immediate diagnostic capabilities.

For uniform product cooling/freezing, shorter dwell times and energy savings, ADVANCED’s unique horizontal OPTIFLOW™ airflow design consistently pushes cold air over the product at up to 6m/s. The result is that every product, no matter of its location, is subjected to the exact same airflow and therefore exits the system with a uniform temperature.

The user-friendly touch screen allows each product to be given its own specific retention time and temperature to optimise product throughput and product quality.
