At the Seafood Processing Europe trade show, Multivac is presenting an overview of its advanced concepts for fish and seafood packaging.

At the Multivac booth in hall 4 stand 5211 the visitors can learn about solutions for their individual business requirements. The company is also exhibiting a new solution for producing skin packages on traysealers.

Packaging is increasing drastically, for fresh fish, deep frozen fish and seafood: It extends the shelf-life considerably, and offers sophisticated possibilities for attractively presenting a product at the PoS. This applies to modified atmosphere packages, with a special gas filling, but also to skin packages which highlight the packed product, by fitting tight around it like a second skin.

Having many years of experience in producing skin packages on thermoforming machines, Multivac has recently brought its skin packaging expertise to its entire range of tray sealers, for all production volumes and all possible tray sizes. As an example of that, the company is presenting this solution as implemented on the T250, a new semi-automatic tray sealer. With its large tray format and automatic infeed of tray drawer, it allows for a performance near to that of fully automatic entry-level systems. The second example is the fully automatic T350, a compact tray sealer equipped with a continuous infeed conveyor and a tray transfer system.

The wide range of Multivac thermoforming machines are represented by the R140, a fully automatic machine that takes up only 3m² of space and is simple to operate. Finally, the company is presenting two of its comprehensive range of vacuum chamber machines: the large chamber machine C400 and the double chamber machine C500.
