At SPE, Ishida Europe will demonstrate its range of packing solutions for the seafood sector, including the launch of a new tray sealer plus the latest multihead weigher, checkweigher and X-ray models.
The newest version of Ishida’s QX-775 tray sealer, the QX-775-Flex, combines a compact design with high speeds for MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) trays of up to 15 cycles per minute, along with maximum hygiene and high quality pack and product presentation. The system is also compatible with a variety of packaging applications including standard MAP, skinpack and shrink film applications, making it ideal for all types of fish and seafood products.
Multihead models on show include the CCW-R-214 and CCW-M-106 Fresh Food Weigher (FFW). Ishida’s CCW-R technology features unique combination calculation software, a 5-stage digital filter and anti-floor vibration which enable the weigher to achieve high accuracy at extremely fast speeds while using fewer hoppers than comparable multihead models.
Ishida’s new DACS-G Checkweigher will be shown working with a CEIA metal detector and is capable of exceptional speeds while maintaining high accuracy. At the touch of a button, the checkweigher can switch between two weighing ranges, allowing food manufacturers to handle more products on one machine. A unique Dislocating Force Limiter automatically disconnects the weigh sensor from the weigh conveyor should sudden excessive force be applied (for example during clean down), protecting the DACS-G against rough handling.
The IX-GA-4075 X-ray machine incorporates unique self-learning Genetic Algorithm (GA) technology, which offers maximum detection sensitivity and reliability, with the most sophisticated models detecting impurities (such as metal, glass, bones, shells, stones, hard rubber and plastic) down to 0.3mm in size.
