The Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition 2022 ended on the afternoon of June 10, after three successful days where many contracts were signed, corporate meetings were held and new products, technologies and service lines were launched.
The awards of the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition were presented once again; their purpose to honour excellence in the Icelandic and international fisheries and to direct the spotlight to the most imaginative and original products that can be found in that field.

Conference | The popular World Fishing Corporate Meeting was in place. Participants came ready to forge new business relationships and explore new markets. Icefish’s corporate meetings are a platform for visitors to meet face-to-face with representatives of new and creative companies. Visitors expressed their satisfaction with this arrangement, saying that the 20-minute meetings saved both time and money and were a great way to meet representatives of interested buyers. Rannís, who manages Enterprise Europe Network Iceland, organised the meetings in collaboration with Enterprise Europe Network’s fisheries department.
The fourth Fish Waste for Profit conference was held in conjunction with the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition on the 9th-10th. June. The participants were able to meet there in ideal conditions to strengthen the international network. At the conference, i.a. discusses flexibility in the Icelandic fishing industry and the diverse possibilities that are available when looking for ways to use waste in the industry for value creation.
At the conference, numerous experts were able to shine their light and were able to share their experience and research on how to ensure 100 percent utilization of marine resources.
The Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition will return in September 2024.
