OSM 2014: The ideal networking platform!
UK seafood entrepreneur, Toby Baxendale, is investing in Hawaii-based Kampachi Farms after meeting the owner at the 2012 Offshore Mariculture Conference.
Eighteen months on from the Offshore Mariculture Conference 2012, held in Izmir, Turkey, and Mr Baxendale has joined the board of directors as they prepare to expand the company in Mexico after having difficulty increasing farming operations in the US.
Following the success of the 2012 conference, which attracted delegates from over 25 countries, the fifth Offshore Mariculture Conference will take place in Naples, Italy on 9-11 April 2014.
The Offshore Mariculture Conference is a must-attend event for professionals who are looking to gain valuable information on the progress and prospects for farming offshore and will include: farming companies, hatcheries, government organisations, research organisations, export associations, processors, feed manufacturers, equipment and service suppliers looking to update themselves on the latest policies, products, research and case studies within the fin/shell fish and seaweed offshore farming industries.
The event will guide delegates through the current legislation and regulations that have an impact on the development of the industry, which must be considered when looking at the economical challenges of securing investment and capital, and the technology requirements to ensure ongoing profitability.
Delegates will receive an insight via case studies on the success of offshore farms operating today as well as new technologies in stock management, cage solutions and developments in feed and nutrition.
