Scottish pelagic programme ‘paving way for further collaboration
The speed with which the Scottish Pelagic Industry-Science Data Collection Programme (SPISDCP) has progressed since the initial feasibility study was conducted in 2018 is “remarkable”, according to Dr Katie Brigden, Pelagic Fisheries Scientist at UHI Shetland, with the data now being used in the scientific assessment process of mackerel, herring and blue whiting.
